Flight MH370, Electrical failure, Smoke, Autopilot

Is it possible that electrical failure caused transponder and ACARS to fail, also resulting in smoke in the cockpit ? If the turn back to Malaysia was a pre-programmed flight path the pilots and occupants could have been unconsious and the plane was flying itself. So it flies on autopilot until it runs out of fuel....

Update: March 20/14 Two objects seen on satellite imagery are located about 1,500 miles, or 2,500 kilometers southwest of Australia.

Could Flight MH370 have landed at the Island of Socotra, Yemen ?


If the last known satellite Ping was at 8:05 am Flight MH370 could have landed at the isolated island of Socotra, off the coast of Yemen and Somalia, flying low, never crossing any land radar ... Socotra, Yemen (Click to view Google Map)

Flight MH370 could have been modified, refuelled on Socotra and flown anywhere.... "Socotra is perhaps the most important refuelling hub for hijacked merchant vessels used as motherships, especially those operating between the Gulf of Aden and India's western waters, mainly off Oman and increasingly closer to the Strait of Hormuz" Somali pirates use Yemen island as fuel base

Are there any known Pirates in this area ??? What could they sell a 777 for ? Here is some more information on the Island of Socotra (Wikipedia):

"The island is very isolated and a third of its plant life is found nowhere else on the planet. It has been described as "the most alien-looking place on Earth". The island measures 132 kilometres (82 mi) in length and 49.7 kilometres (30.9 mi) in width."

Flight 370 in Oman, Ras Al Hadd, The 8 hour Theory

OK, if Malaysia Flight 370 was in the air for 8 hours it could have flown as far as United Arab Emirates. so I drew an 8 hour circle around Kuala Lampur, Malaysia point of departure and show the 777 landing 8 hours later in Oman. To avoid land radar this means the plane would have had to stay out over the water the full 8 hours, and only land on the coast at a very low altitude. As I zoomed in on Satellite images along the coast of Oman I found the following. An abandoned runway at the tiny village of Ras Al Hadd, Oman. If the plane landed at 8:00 am it could have refueled there and flown just about anywhere.... What do you think ...


The runway at Ras Al Hadd. Oman is approximately 5,000 ft. long enough to land a 777.  Now if the plane climbed to 45,000 ft as it turned Westward the passengers likely all fell asleep and this is why there were no texts or phone messages. However, this is all speculation, nobody knows at this point.....
